Fun Pub Quiz

The Breffni Challenge 2010 Fun Pub Quiz was held at the fantastic Church Bar and Café, Mary Street, Dublin 1 which is managed by Cavan men Terry McGovern and John McGovern on Thursday 13th May.
Special guests on the night who included RTE’s Grainne Seoige, Joanne Cantwell and Baz asked the questions to a packed venue.
Many thanks to all who supported the night and helped raise a fabulous €6,000 which will go directly to the Breffni Challenge 2010 for Cancer which is raising funds for St Luke’s Hospital, Dublin, NBCRI (National Breast Cancer Research Institute) Galway and the Cavan Cancer Homecare Association.

Thanks to the Transition Year Students at Moyne Community School, Longford who set the questions and got everyone thinking!
The Breffni Challenge will be held on Saturday 31st July from Cavan/Ballinagh to Arva. You can walk, jog, run or ride the 20 km or 13 km route. Last year over 660 took part and enjoyed the fantastic atmosphere of the event. Why not take part this year, which promises to be extra special as it is the 10th event run by the community of Arva. A great way to get fit over the summer with something to aim for on the 31st July. As ever the event will be followed by entertainment at the Market Square and the Breffni Arms Hotel and Leisure Centre, Arva. Each participant will receive a tshirt, medal and certificate on completion of either distance. Sponsorship cards will be available locally very soon (see press for details)
